No More Hidden Hotel Fees (LINK)

You ever see a great hotel deal but by the time you hit the checkout page, the price has nearly doubled thanks to all the surcharges and sneaky fees?

Well that’s all changing now.

The House just passed the Hotel Fees Transparency Act, which went into effect on May 12.

The goal? To finally bring some clarity to hotel pricing and make it way easier for us as consumers to price shop without surprises.

Now when you go to book on sites like Airbnb, you’ll see the actual total price up front (excluding taxes).

It’s a small win, but a big deal especially if you’re tired of getting nickel and dimed all the way to the checkout page.

And if you still see any hotels still doing it, SNITCH.

Frontier Companion Pass (LINK)

It kind of feels like Frontier is picking a fight with Southwest and I’m here for it.

With Southwest making a bunch of changes that have people frustrated, Frontier seems to be making moves to scoop up those unhappy flyers.

One of the biggest changes is Frontier now having its own version of the Companion Pass.

Just like with Southwest, you’ll be able to book a flight and have a companion fly with you for just the taxes and fees.

But here’s the twist.

Once you hit Platinum or Diamond status, you don’t have to lock in just one person as your companion.

You get full flexibility to pick someone new for every trip, and it can be used an unlimited number of times.

If you live near a Frontier hub like Las Vegas, Denver, DFW, or Atlanta, this might be something worth keeping an eye on especially since low cost carriers have quietly improved their reliability lately.

Alaska Airlines Fare Sale (LINK)

Alaska Airlines is running a 25% off sale but it ends TONIGHT at midnight, so if you’ve got a trip in mind, now’s the time to move.

Use code GETAWAY25 for 25% off flights to Mexico, Costa Rica, Belize, Guatemala, Florida, and Hawaii.

Here’s what you need to know:

• Book by tonight

• Travel between August 12 – November 19

• Valid only for flights Monday through Thursday

• Works on both Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines

I ran a few searches and found deals like:

• $122 one-way from LA to Hawaii

• $260 one-way from JFK to Hawaii

You’ll need some flexibility, but the savings are solid. Jump on it before it’s gone.
