3 Headlines

One.

Delta Opens Dedicated Business Class Lounge in JFK (LINK)

Videos of the new Delta One Lounge at JFK are eye-catching. While I probably won’t be flying business or first class out of JFK on Delta or its partners (KLM, Virgin Atlantic, LATAM) anytime soon, this new lounge is great news. The opening of this space could help overcrowding in the more accessible Delta Sky Club lounges. Remember, access to the Sky Club requires just an American Express Platinum card and a non-basic-economy class ticket.

Two.

July Rent Day Bilt Bonus to Alaska Airlines (LINK)

This month's Bilt Rent Day promotion offers a juicy opportunity to supercharge your travel rewards. Here's the deal: you can earn a transfer bonus of up to 100% when you move your Bilt points to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan. This is a great option given that Alaska miles are so valuable in terms of transfer partners and if you are paying rent it’s an easy card to get to earn points for money that you are already going to spend.

Three.

Frontiers 30th Birthday means $30 Flights (LINK)

Heads up, budget travelers! Frontier Airlines is offering a sale on flights with some seriously low prices. For the price of a six $5 footlong subs, you could be somewhere new. There are some blackout dates to be aware of, but if you're flexible and looking for a cheap getaway, this sale might be worth a look. They also have a separate promotion for free carry-on bags, but both offers end tonight at 11:59 PM EST.

Bonus.

Check out this new Ritz-Carlton hotel in Saudi Arabia giving off Maldives vibes. British Airways is also running a sale with $300 tickets to Europe. Hilton Added more SLH properties bookable through their website.

2 Hacks

One.

Heads up, Amex Platinum Cardholders! June is ending soon, so don't let your valuable bi-annual statement credits expire on June 30th! Personal cardholders, that means using your $50 Saks Fifth Avenue credit. Business cardholders, remember your $200 Dell credit. Check your Amex account to see if these credits are available and use them before they're gone!

Two.

If you've ever tried booking Air France/KLM flights through Virgin Atlantics website, you've probably encountered this problem: you reach the booking page, then an error pops up, and you can't complete the booking. The solution is to reach out to Virgin Atlantic through their chat function and have them push your booking through. Interestingly, I had a similar problem using Cathay Pacific to book an Alaskan Airlines flight, and the chat representatives came to the rescue by pushing the booking through. So, next time you're having booking issues, consider reaching out to the airline's chat representatives to see if they can manually complete the booking for you.

1 Question From You

Every week I answer one question from the community. Reply to this email with yours because you’re probably not the only one that has it.

Question

Rachel asked me whats the best program to use to book partner award flights.

If you're unfamiliar with airline alliances, here's a quick explanation: some airlines allow you to book flights with their partner airlines within the same alliance. While some airlines like United make it a breeze through their online platforms, others like Turkish Airlines, with fantastic redemption values, can have frustrating websites.

Now, to answer Rachel's question about my favorite program, it's Air Canada's Aeroplan. They're incredibly user-friendly, and their website makes it simple to search and book flights with over 50 partner airlines.

Congratulations! You've reached the end of this week's newsletter.
