Oh, do we have some news for you this week! Just when I thought all the summer deals had come and gone Air France and KLM came to prove me wrong. Let's not beat around the bushes and get to the good stuff.

Here are 3 headlines, 2 hacks, and 1 question answered this week…

3 Headlines

One.

100+ Floor up new Park Hyatt (LINK)

Do you love being high? Well look no further, Hyatt is opening up Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur later this year. Coming in at 118 stories, it is the tallest building in all of Asia-Pacific and the best part is the hotel takes up the top 17 floors. While you’re currently not able to book it with points, keep an eye out if you’re traveling to Malaysia later this year.

Two.

Booking Airstreams with Hilton points (LINK)

Summer's calling, and Hilton Honors points are getting an exciting upgrade! The first AutoCamp property, AutoCamp Cape Cod, is now bookable using your Hilton points. This new partnership expands how you can use your points, opening the door to unique outdoor getaways alongside traditional hotels.

Three.

[DEAL ALERT] 50k Business class to Europe (LINK)

Calling all Europe dreamers! ✈️ We recently spotted a massive drop in Air France and KLM business class availability for summer travel. Some flights even have an incredible 6+ seats open! This is your chance to snag a luxurious European getaway at a steal. Availability extends through the end of the year, so book now and figure it out later. Here’s a link to some sample flights.

Bonus.

[DEAL ALERT] Hawaiian Airlines 40K first class (LINK)

Hawaii dreamin' on a budget? Look no further! You might score incredible deals on one-way first-class flights to Hawaii later this year. We're talking fares as low as 40,000 miles (compared to the usual 80,000-120,000 range). Keep your eyes peeled and snag that luxurious upgrade!

2 Hacks

One.

Planning a flight and eyeing award availability?  Book a refundable ticket with cash as a backup, but skip Basic Economy fares. Those usually come with strict cancellation policies. If you find award availability later, simply cancel your refundable ticket! This way, you're guaranteed a seat while you hunt for the perfect points redemption.

Two.

Whenever you can, avoid booking the last flight of the day. This will eventually save your butt. Things happen, and having a later flight available gives you a safety net. If everything runs smoothly, you'll still arrive at your destination on the same day!

1 Question From You

Every week I answer one question from the community. Reply to this email with yours because you’re probably not the only one that has it.

Question

Gene asked what was the best way to book 4 tickets with points was.

Finding that many seats simultaneously can be a challenge. If you see availability for all four tickets from a different airport, consider booking them even if it requires a short positioning flight. Waiting for all four seats to show up from your desired airport is then the strategy. Many programs allow you to cancel or change these tickets (depending on their policy) if availability opens up from your preferred airport.
